Rockies (28-31) at Padres (27-34)
Ubaldo Jimenez (1-5) at Tim Stauffer (1-4)
Pick: Rockies
*It's not often we have a Game of the Day in which the probable starters have just two combined wins, but this nevertheless remains an interesting matchup here in fantasy land. Ubaldo comes off his shut out of the Dodgers to take the hill in the very pitcher-friendly confines of Petco Park, with both himself and his owners looking to build toward a 2011 turnaround. Stauffer, on the other hand, is coming off one of his worst starts of the season. Since that start also came at Petco, and against the lowly Astros no less, I have to say that doesn't inspire too much confidence in those who thought Timmy was a sleeper FA pickup. I say Stauffer struggles again, and Ubaldo does enough to keep the Friars quiet and get the win.
Fantasy Impact: Tim Stauffer's ERA/WHIP at home this year are 4.41/1.53. Away from Petco he's pitching to a 3.62/1.25 and has earned his only win of the season.
Record: 5-10. We're going streaking.
